Happy Cat Yin Yoga

Updated: Jun 25

We are pleased to announce that Llanrumney Hall facilitates Marsine from Happy Cat Yoga multiple times a week for Yin Yoga classes.

Yin Yoga is a slow, soothing and passive style of yoga, and works to stimulate different acupressure points from traditional Chinese medicine. Each pose is either seated or lying on a mat and will be held for 2-5 minutes so that you can reach the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia and ligaments in your body. Both bolsters and blocks are used to support your body.

No level of physical strength is needed for these classes, they are designed for people of all abilities and body types.

This form of yoga will help to build your willpower and mental resilience. The stretches can feel quite strong and challenging, but you will be guided so the positions are adjusted for you and your body. All you need to do is listen to yourself and do what is right for you.

These sessions are led by Marsine. Marsine has been practicing multiple types of yoga for years and fell in love with Yin Yoga during the COVID-19 lockdown when she was struggling with injuries and poor mental health. She discovered that Yin is a powerful healer and it helped her to get through a very difficult time in her life. Marsine believes her practice is now about giving herself time for selfcare and nourishment so she can feel a sense of wellness and ease in her mind and body.

Marsine’s motto is: “Different bodies, different rules.
