Easter Holidays @ Llanrumney Hall

Llanrumney Hall Community Trust have partnered with Cardiff and Vale College once again this year to bring you a fully funded Easter Half Term. We have pieced together a range of activities and sessions covering all ages and some even suitable for families. A great chance to get out of the house this half term and do something different.

1. Children’s Arts and Crafts:


Dates: Tuesday 4th April Friday 7th April Tuesday 11th April Friday 14th April.


Time: 11:00 - 12:00


Room: Morgan’s Room

Age: 4 – 12


Description: Creatively Yours have teamed up with Cardiff and Vale College to bring you Children’s Arts & Crafts Club. The children will be experimenting with a variety of mixed media, such as painting and creating mini sculptures. This club aims to bring the creative and artistic side out of children that lies beneath all of them, and to get them out of the house during their time off school.


The club will take place in the Arts & Crafts Room at Llanrumney Hall, is completely FREE, and is open to children aged between 4 and 12 years old.

2. Teen Nature Club:


Dates: Monday 3rd April Monday 10th April


Time: 10:00 - 12:00


Age: 12 – 18


Room: Outside the Main House/Polytunnel

Description: Have a great time with our Youth Group runners, Chris and Chloe, and learn about nature whilst getting your hands dirty. Attendees will be making bird boxes and looking at other ways to increase the wildlife in Llanrumney and at The Hall.

3. Dance Workshop:

Room: Kemey’s Room

Description: Come and experience a fun Street Dance class, brought to you by the principal of KOKO Dance Academy! In this session, you can expect to learn a dance routine and explore creativity whilst building confidence.

4. Ugly Duckling Workshop: Date: Tuesday 4th April Time: Session 1: 10:00 – 11:30 Session 2: 12:30 – 14:00 Age: 4 – 7 Room: Admiral’s Quarters Description: Brought to you by the same people who delivered the Stickman Workshop for our February half term. Join in as a family to learn about the story of the ugly Duckling through fun and engaging activities.

5. Easter Scavenger Hunt:


Day: Wednesday 5th April


Slot one: 13:00 - 14:00

Slot two: 14:30 - 15:30


Age: Under 11’s


How to book: Booking can be done via Reception on 029 2000 1441 or by emailing reception@llanrumneyhall.org.


Details:


Children will be given a worksheet which will help them find farm animals on wooden discs. Once all 10 farm animals are collected, the children can come into reception and will be given a free Easter Egg courtesy of our sponsors, Cardiff and Vale College and Blue Self Storage.


The Scavenger hunt is completely FREE and all children must be supervised by an adult. We recommend appropriate footwear and clothes be worn as it is an outdoor event. The event is also appointment only - please do not turn up if you have not booked.





6. Ministry of Life Education Music Workshop: Dates:

Room: Arts & Crafts Room

Description: Our friends and partners at Ministry of Life Education are back again this year, bringing their fun and interactive music workshop to Llanrumney Hall. They are bringing along professional music instructors and high-end equipment to teach young people how to make music, provide DJ skills, develop live performance skills, lyric writing, music production, videography and more. This is truly an amazing opportunity and if you or your kids are stuck in the house bored and have a love for music or aspire to be a DJ then this is the perfect first step which won’t cost you a penny.

7. Family Gardening Club:

Dates: Wednesday 5th April Wednesday 12th April

Time: 10:00 - 12:00

Age: Family

Room: Gardening Polytunnel

Details: Are you ready to get your hands dirty? Come and join us at Gardening Club where there's an opportunity to learn how to garden and make like-minded friends whilst you’re digging away.


The club will take place in our Polytunnels in the outer grounds of The Hall, is completely FREE, and is open to anyone however children under 12 must be supervised by an adult.

8. Under 5’s Story time and Colouring:


Dates: Wednesday 5th April Wednesday 12th April

Time: 10:00 - 11:00

Age: 5 and under


Room: Kemey’s Room


Description: Join us at Llanrumney Hall for story time and colouring. This will be a fun and relaxing experience, giving children the chance to learn a story and get creative.

9. Cooking Demo:


Date: Thursday 6th April.


Time: 10:00 - 11:30

Age: Children must be supervised by an adult.


Room: Polytunnel


Description: Join Donna and Cat and sit back and relax as they cook dishes from The Pantry. They will take you from start to finish on how to make some classic dishes which you can feed your family with on a low budget.

Description: Who could say no to the opportunity of learning a wide range of new skills and make new friends at the same time? We've got crafts, gardening, D.I.Y and games to keep the teens busy this half term!

Come and join our Youth Project! Each term we have a project to work on involving Arts & Crafts and D.I.Y skills. The finalisation of the project will help fundraise for Llanrumney Hall.


The club will take place at Llanrumney Hall, is completely FREE, and is open to teenagers between 13 and 18 years old.
